By all means drink after a gig if you want, but considering drinking before could put a downer on your performance, only consumer the drinks you come across once your performance is done.
You music career is a business, so remain professional and treat it as such. Remember though, none of what you've learned will matter if you don't know how to get your music out there and earn from it.
Want to learn how to do that? Many musicians live for the road and the stage. Once the initial excitement wears off, performing might feel like a bit of a grind. Audiences may not respond to your music. Gig revenue might be low or non-existent. Believe it or not, when my band goes on tour, we make money.
