Does anyone hate glee
Some people would call this complex characterization. I call it emotional whiplash. To be fair, I've never liked Mr. Schue; I prefer to call him Mr. Mea Culpa or Mr. Every episode of Glee involves the following: Will makes a total ass out of himself, then realizes he was an idiot and ends with the classic "I was wrong, I should've listened, you've taught me yet another valuable lesson. Will can pretend that he's in love with Emma all he wants. But the fact remains that instead of moving forward in their relationship, he chose to hook up with his ex-wife, fool around with Rachel's mom Idina Menzel, top , go on a revenge date with Sue and give a pity kiss to Coach Beiste Dot Jones, bottom.
Saying yes to everyone doesn't make you sensitive, Will. It just makes you insincere. But how much political correctness can anybody squeeze into one show? At some point, you're just checking things off a list.
Deaf youth? Down syndrome? Got it. Teen pregnancy, disability, obesity, chastity - you name it, Glee's thrown it into the mix. That may do a lot for cultural awareness, but not so much for artistic integrity. Most of all, Glee, I hate you for your wasted potential. I hate you for taking a brilliant idea and ruining it.

I don't like any of them — which is something of a problem with a feel-good series. I can't tell them apart either, as they just seem to coagulate into a generic ball of musical fluff. They're all lazy characterisations: a jock, some cheerleaders, a swotty girl, someone who keeps cleaning her hands, a guy in a wheelchair who's typically self-effacing, and a gay guy who is camp as Christmas and obsessed with fashion and shopping and y'know gay things like that.
I'm genuinely surprised to reach the end of each episode without him yelling "I'm free" as some hunky football player waltzes by. I mean everyone: your sister, your mum, your boss, the bus driver. I'm surprised the political parties haven't jumped aboard the already crowded bandwagon. Fans even have a name for themselves. I mean really? Never has my faith in humanity been so shaken. I wouldn't mind if it were any good.
If there were anything to buy into. But there's not. Unless of course you count the astronomical sales of the albums that accompanies the series.
She was a pretty terrible person, but I feel like the glee club wouldn't have been successful without her. She constantly pushed them and gave them a reason to fight. She also gave them a taste of the real world by showing them how a lot people will tear you down, even for no reason.
Plus, there were a TON of times when she was super kind and generous. She dealt with teen pregnancy, went from good girl to bad girl, and finally ended up going to college and realized she didn't need a man to define her.
I know she did some horrendous things, but all of the characters did.
