Where can i get overcharged capacitor

Comment by The Overcharged capasitor goes for 10g on my realm. Comment by thank you for clearing that up Comment by The name Overcharger is obviously a pun by Blizzard as well, not just you smarties.

As implementing an item with pretty much the sole use of being a quest item could be foreseen to be pretty valuable. Another case proving how funny our divine host can be! Comment by i cant find the Overcharged Capacitor. Comment by Veraldis The overcharged capacitors are created by engineers. You'll need to check your AH or hit up an engineer friend in order to get one.

Comment by Macilles Well it's not as clear as it should be His name on the otherhand might be very misleading Comment by I don't get it, the overcharged cap is suppose to drop from the "Library Guardian" Is there anyone who has actually gotten one from a drop. I been killing these guardians for hours, and no drop. Why should I have to buy the thing from AH for some overpriced amount. Requiring them to be purchased to complete the quest is insidious, no one should have to be subject to the AH pricing just to complete a quest.

I have a choice to either drop the quest and loose all the work I did for the other items, or wait, wait, wait, wait, wait until hell freezes before I can either buy it from AH or find an engineer that will make it for me.

Comment by As a gnome engineer, I didn't find it horrid at all. I supposed having a few overcharged capacitors in my inventory I've been levelling didn't hurt. This whole area feels odd, though. I don't reckon I should mine gnomes, even mechanised ones. Being a gnome is odd from the start, I suppose; we start in a war zone, although I read somewhere that might change. Thank to those who pointed out where the tools were.

When I checked in to this thread, I swear I was standing 10 yards away, but hadn't seen them. As there doesn't seem to be a screenshot anymore, I'll just say the tools are on the south west of the structure not the south east. The easiest thing to do is follow along the oil pipe that comes along the ground to the structure from Midpoint Station from the north west. Just before the oil pipe rises to join the structure you'll see the tools on your left on the other side of the vertical support pillar.

Comment by So far as I can tell I have done a few thousand quests this is the only one which requires another player to complete. I am not speaking of quests which are meant for groups or dungeons. Screw it. Comment by Kyeld always appreciative of a quest that can't be completed because none of my guildmates are engineers and there aren't any in the AH.

Comment by Just paid 53 gold for it I get 4 gold for completing BLAH. Comment by Legolamb just cost me 75G in Stormwind AH for the capacitor, but made 40G of it back by selling all my trash loot and will prob get rest back with selling quest rewards and a bit of daily farming - no skin off my nose really to do this quest line.

The Membership on WoW has dropped severly and it is next to impossible to find n Engineer willing to make these things much less creat them and post them for sell on the AH If not then this Quest is Dead Comment by lengthycobra69 ya i'm on ysera server and the dam thing is on the AH for gold and yeah unless i plan on getting the achievement for quests completed in this zone, i'll come back for this quest later.

Comment by Takata about 33g on my server for the Overcharged Capacitor. But still it should be a drop or the item should be removed from the quest. As more expansions are made, these quests are less done and items like these will be made less. Comment by Seems like 1 engineer had nothing to do but make the capacitors all day. The only part I didn't like was the long boat ride with no food, drink, and ladies at the pool.

Comment by annebradsmith Well. I couldn't do any spell damage to Rocknar, but he couldn't do much to me either as I'm level 85 Mage. Out of frustration I hit him with my staff - something i never do - and voila took him down in whacks. Surprised that wasn't already posted. Comment by CaptainWater For those of you who were in trouble, just like I were, here is a quick summarization.

The objective of this quest is to travel to two different places in Borean Tundra aswell as a friendly Auction House or a friendly engineer. The quest giver asks you to collect three items.

For those of you without a coordinate addon get one , this is just a few yards west of Death's Stand in the south-eastern Tundra. Watch out for the Carrion Condor's on the rocks close to him, since aggroing them might be an issue.

Crafty's Tools can be found at " No harder than that. As for the Overcharged Capacitor , it can be crafted by engineers, unless you get it from 3 different dungeons as a drop, which isn't very likely. Like others has stated, it really should be renamed to "Overpriced Capacitor", since mosts engineers sell these for a gazillion gold.

Hope this helped :. Comment by sandra After reading all the comments I was prepared to spend over 30G on one from the AH but I was pleasantly surprised to find they only sell for around 9G on my server. Bought it on buyout and then I turned in the quest. As a level 70 frost mage Rocknar was the most difficult part of this quest but even he wasn't that hard. Since he is immune to frost I just kept up my ice barrier and then alternated between using fire blast and then hitting him with my staff when I was waiting for the fire blast to finish cooldown.

It took about 5 fire blasts to finish him off but my ice barrier absorbed all the damage in between my fire blast cooldown. Pretty easy quest and the XP is nice. Comment by too many times I get stuck on a quest and I want to thank all who contribute to help others, you have saved me again and again.

Comment by groovinmonkey Frostmages! Use frostfire bolt on Rocknar. Pew pew, down he goes. Comment by And this is why I love Carbonite add on. It pointed me right to the tools.

Now the Overcharged Capacitor is a different story. Guess I'm headed to the auction house since I don't have a char on this realm that's an engineer. Comment by Diboah I was stuck in this quest for a long time in my main character, the price for an overcharged capacitator was too high at AH and I didn't bother to pursue it. That was when I first started playing wow, a little over 2 years ago. Today, I was grinding reputation for my alt that has engineering and decided to go inside a hole in a mountain in Storm Peaks to explore.

There I found, these little Mechagnome Laborer and started killing it to mine. For my surprise, it dropped an Overcharged Capacitator!

If I only new it back then I found it at the Temple of Storms location, and you can see it in the map linked to these little guys. Comment by zeldof If you're a Frost Mage, there is a way to get Rocknar without changing specs if you are an Engineer. The key is to keep shielded while on the attack.

Step 1: Use your Ice Barrier. Step 2: get close enough to pull him with and Explosive Decoy. It hits him pretty hard and takes nearly half his health. Step 3: attack with your weapon. It won't hurt him too bad but it helps a little. If that doesn't get him, then wait for the cool down again and hit him again with another Super Sapper Charge or "The Big One". Takes a little time but it's doable. Comment by krisn everyone is right about the first 2 items Simply deplorable.

Horde Engineers cannot even sell these for the cost of mats, just a heads up to any Horde player who tries to make money off these The Alliance have a quest to hand these in available to all Alliance players, the shared quest is Engineers only Considering the ease of obtaining the mats and crafting these, you can't even sell them to other Engineers Comment by I can make these, but on my realm, they don't sell for much.

I mine the mats, so it's free cost, but just the other day I sold two for only 2g each, and that was a full 24 hour bid And my buyout price was lower than most of the starting bids for the other auctions. Perhaps there aren't many people doing the related quest anymore. I even tried to pimp some in Fizzcrank Airstrip, with not even an ounce of interest. The most annoying thing is they stack only 5 at a time so they're taking up a ton of space in my inventory. Comment by the Overcharged capacotor costs 23g for just one, which is ridicolous.

I supposed it has to do with server's medium population,. Comment by you have to buy them. Comment by superkingryan its alot cheaper to buy all the mats and get someone to make it yourself. Comment by Alienoid25 hmm wonder whats its reactance is? Comment by gremlin Just wanted to say that Just wanted to know the level needed for this item. Comment by MapleParty Sick trick blizzard decided to play with these.

Comment by Ever tried looking for these on the AH? Overcharged is right. Comment by Regarding a portion of the quest, "Just a Few More Things", the instructions are not as clear as most quests. Though making an Overcharged Capacitor is quite easy for Engineers, those that have not chose that profession are in a quandary for such a low level quest with roughly xp points Comment by I tried to buy one of these a few weeks ago and all I found in the alliance AH was a bundle of 4 for the price of 3k.

Didn't buy at the time cause of the bundle and the 3k. Today I bought one for 35 gold. Thank you seller. My advice. This is not such an important quest for someone to pay hundreds and even thousands of gold. Don't buy it if it is overpriced and move on. Comment by locksandmonks Dave, stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop, Dave? I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it.

I'm a Comment by dominustempus3 They are charging g for these on Molten, and the reward is only 4g 70s really. Comment by unicdruid this item is a huge waste of time. Blizzard need to remove this item to make game mutch more clean. Comment by gunsotsu you have incorrectly shown that you can salvage this item off raid bosses. View in 3D Links. Quick Facts.
